Why not go green during a rebuild?

If you are looking at a major remodeling project or even rebuilding after a fire or other disaster, why not consider going “Green” during your rebuild?

It’s during this time you can install options that, if done afterwards, could be much more expensive. Such as installing a tankless water heater. Instead of having a 6 or 9 year water heater installed during a rebuild, install a energy efficient tankless heater.

Tankless heaters are better because:

  • Uses only energy when needed to heat the water ONLY during use.
  • Doesn’t have to keep a 40 or 50 gallon tank of water heated at all times.
  • By pre-plumbing for a 180k BTU tankless water heater, you can save hundreds off of a retrofit later on.
  • Gas tankless water heaters can save you as much as 30% off your annual natural gas bills.
  • Never run out of hot water again! Imagine being able to get a house full of guests through the shower without waiting for the tank to heat back up, or running a load of laundry while also running the dishwasher.

Other green options during a rebuild to consider are solar panels on the roof (Austin has enough sunshine year round to make a solar panel system pay for itself quickly), double-paned windows, green siding and insulation, high reflective shingles to help keep your house cool in our blistering summers.

I have the resources to help you rebuild your home so it can be a model “Green” home and save you hundreds a year in energy costs.
